Bradley Douglas, MD, FACOG
For over 25 years Bradley S. Douglas, M.D. F.A.C.O.G. board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist has served the Boca Raton greater community in private practice in his same office location. He founded the colposcopy clinic at Florida Atlantic University where he serves on the clinical faculty of the George E. Schmidt College of Medicine and the Marietta College of Ohio.
Dr. Douglas' expertise includes mastering the latest obstetrical and gynecologic surgical techniques. He is skilled at performing minimally invasive surgery using advanced Robotic, Laparoscopic, and Hysteroscopic surgeries. As an experienced Laser Surgeon, he relieves patients of painful intercourse and vaginal dryness using the Mona Lisa Touch procedure in his office.
Completing Masters level gyn training in daVinci surgery in Atlanta, and also training at NYU, Dr. Douglas was the first gynecologist in Boca Raton to incorporate Firefly imaging in robotic surgery optimizing detection of and resection of endometriosis. He is experienced in performing hundreds of minimally invasive laparoscopic myomectomies, complicated hysterectomies, ovarian cystectomies, endometriosis resections, infertility evaluations and cancer reducing surgeries such as the prophylactic removal of ovaries, fallopian tubes and uterus.
Dr. Douglas has lectured nationally and trained surgeons on the use of the Myosure procedure to remove fibroids from the uterus through a D and C procedure. He utilizes Novasure, Themachoice HTA ablation procedures, Merena and Skyla IUDs to treat bothersome abnormal uterine bleeding; and Essure for permanent sterilization. Many of his patients benefit from outpatient procedures without having to stay overnight at the hospital and without prolonged or disabling recoveries.
Dr. Douglas received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 1982 with magna cum laude honors in Cleveland, Ohio. His Doctor of Medicine degree is from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 1986 and is a Kennedy Scholar of the Cleveland Clinic of Cleveland, Ohio. In 1990, he completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology internship and residency training through the Medical College of Virginia Hospital, Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Douglas takes special care and time in educating his patients, the public and medical communities, including having been a national speaker. He has served on numerous medical advisory boards and hospital committees including past Chairman of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at the Boca Raton Regional Hospital and past President of the Palm Beach Obstetric and Gynecology Society.
